Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston's biggest box office success to date was her appearance in 2003's Bruce Almighty, in which she played the live-in girlfriend of Jim Carrey's title character. Aniston then starred in the 2004 film, Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller. In late 2005, Jennifer Aniston appeared in two major studio films, Derailed and Rumor Has It.

Keira Knightley

2007 saw the release of several films starring Keira Knightley: Silk, an adaptation of the novel by Alessandro Baricco, Atonement, a feature film adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel of the same name (co-starring James McAvoy, Vanessa Redgrave, and Brenda Blethyn), and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which was released in May 2007. Knightley's performance in Atonement began to generate buzz before the film was released she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the Best Dramatic Actress category for the role, as well as a BAFTA Award. Critic Richard Roeper was puzzled by both Keira Knightley's and McAvoy's Academy Award snubs, stating "I thought McAvoy and Knightly were superb."

Taylor Swift

When Taylor Swift was 15, she rejected RCA Records because the company wanted to keep her on an artist development deal. After performing at Nashville's songwriters' venue, The Bluebird Café, she caught the attention of Scott Borchetta,who signed her to his newly formed record label, Big Machine Records. At age 14, Taylor Swift became the youngest staff songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Tree publishing house.
